An Optimistic Invitation.
There are are few items that we think will have a positive impact on our monthly budget, but for which we are (not yet) willing to commit the up-front expenses. These include:
-High-efficiency (14 SEER or higher) central air conditioner;
-Tankless hot water heaters in each bathroom, and/or a heat-pump hot water heater;
-High efficiency gas clothes dryer;
-Increasing insulation in our attic to R50;
-Remodeling the interior of the garage, including re-insulating the garage ceiling, which was insulated wrong;
-His/Hers hybrid automobiles.
Manufacturers of these items should feel free to provide them to us, with no strings attached, as a gift. We will review our experience with their products and provide links to their sites in return.
